The country’s jewellers authority has increased the price of gold by Tk 1,341 to Tk 78, 557 per bhori (11.664 grams) in the domestic market.
Following the current market situation, Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) hiked the price and issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.
The new price fixed at a meeting of BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. The decision will come into effect on Wednesday (July 27, 2022).
The price of 22-karat gold has increased to Tk 78, 557 per bhori; 21-karat gold to Tk 74, 999; and 18-karat gold to Tk 64, 268.
Meanwhile, the price of 22-karat silver has been fixed at Tk 1,516 per bhori; 21-karat silver at Tk 1,435; and 18-karat silver at Tk 1,225.
BAJUS also asked the jewellers across the country to charge the customers Tk 3,499 in making charge per bhori.
