H.E. Mr. Md. Shameem Ahsan, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Italy, met Ms. Gabriella Biondi, Deputy Director General for Global Affairs and Central Director for Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy on 21 January 2022 at the latter’s office. During the meeting, they discussed issues on the spectrum of bilateral relations including probable outlines of the celebration of the 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries. Both took a stock of the current status of the draft MoUs/Agreements and agreed that signing of some instruments, among other activities, would add substance to celebration. Mr. Mohammed Jasim Uddin, Counsellor and Mr. Md. Ashfaqur Rahman, Second Secretary of the Embassy accompanied the Ambassador while Mr. Gianpaolo Neri, Head of South Asia Desk was also present on the Italian side.
